You’ll meet with a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapist,, or psychiatric nurse practitioner experienced in culturally competent, trauma-informed care.

Dr. Abadir completed medical school at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and his Psychiatry residency at West Virginia University. He practices with an evidence-based, collaborative approach that considers each patient’s unique condition and circumstances, integrating psychodynamic principles alongside medication management when appropriate. Dr. Abadir is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where patients know they have a reliable resource for their mental health needs and do not have to struggle alone. Having grown up in the area, he is committed to serving and strengthening the community that shaped him.
